What this connection does
Synemer connects to Binance using a read-only API key. This lets the journal import your closed trades without ever being able to place orders or withdraw funds.
Your API credentials are encrypted and only used to read historical trade data.
Before you start
Make sure you have a Binance account with two-factor authentication enabled.
You will need access to your Synemer account settings, where connections are managed.
Create a read-only API key in Binance
Log in to Binance and go to the API Management section. Create a new API key and give it a clear name, such as Synemer Read Only.
Enable read access for spot and futures data. Do not enable trading or withdrawal permissions. The key must be read-only for your security.
Copy the API key and the secret. Store the secret somewhere safe while you complete the next steps.
Add the connection in Synemer
In Synemer, go to Settings and then Connections. Choose Binance as the broker.
Paste the API key and secret, then save the connection. Synemer will validate the key.
Troubleshooting
If validation fails, check that the key has read permissions and that the IP restrictions allow Synemer.
You can revoke access at any time by deleting the connection in Synemer or rotating the key in Binance.
