Connect your Gate.io account to Synemer

Synemer connects to Gate.io using a read-only API key and secret. The journal imports your closed USDT-margined perpetual futures trades without ever being able to place orders or withdraw funds.

Your API credentials are encrypted and only used to read historical trade data.

Make sure you have a Gate.io account with two-factor authentication enabled.

You will need access to your Synemer account settings, where connections are managed.

Log in to Gate.io and go to Account Security, then API Management. Create an APIv4 key with a clear name such as Synemer Read Only.

Enable read access for futures trading history and account data. Do not enable trading or withdrawal permissions.

Copy the API key and secret. Store them somewhere safe while you complete the next steps.

In Synemer, go to Settings and then Connections. Choose Gate.io as the broker.

Paste the API key and secret, then save the connection. The first sync walks back through your futures history and then keeps itself up to date.

Synemer brings in your closed USDT-margined futures trades, including fees, plus your current open positions.

Gate.io keeps your trade history from when you opened your account, so the sync covers everything the API serves.

If nothing imports, check that the API key has futures read permissions and that your IP whitelist allows Synemer.

You can revoke access at any time by deleting the connection in Synemer or rotating the key in Gate.io.
