Why connect Kraken Futures to Synemer
Kraken Futures shows your position history as open and close events. Synemer turns closed positions into win rate, average risk, and drawdown.
The import runs in the background. When a position closes, it reaches your journal without a spreadsheet.
How the connection works
Create a read-only Kraken Futures API key and paste the key and secret into Synemer. The connection can read your history but cannot place orders or withdraw funds.
This connector is for global Kraken Futures perpetuals only. Kraken Derivatives US is a separate product with a different API and is not supported here.
What gets synced
Synemer records closed linear PF_ and inverse PI_ perpetual trades with direction, entry and exit, size, fees, and realized PnL. Open positions, stop loss and take profit levels, and account balance are captured too.
Spot and fixed-maturity futures are not imported. Transfers into and out of the futures wallet are tracked as capital flows. Deposits, withdrawals, funding, fees, and realized PnL are not counted as capital.
How much history is available
Kraken Futures account history is paginated and reaches deep into the account's past. Synemer walks it from the oldest available event, so you get more than the usual 90-day window.
The exact floor depends on the account. Market it as deep history until your own probe confirms the oldest event.
What you need before you start
- An active Synemer account.
- A global Kraken Futures API key with General API read-only access.
- Access to the Kraken Derivatives settings page.
How to connect Kraken Futures

Create the key
In Kraken Futures, open Settings, create a key, and choose General API: Read Only. Note the public key and private key.

In Synemer, open Add connection, pick Kraken, then paste the API key and secret.

Synemer pulls your available position history in the background, then updates as new positions close.
