Why connect IC Markets to Synemer
If you trade more than one account or switch between MetaTrader and cTrader, your history is spread across terminals. Synemer merges it into a single view so your win rate and average risk reflect everything you did.
There is no manual export. Once the connector is set up, every closed position lands in Synemer on its own.
Which IC Markets platforms Synemer supports
Synemer connects to IC Markets through MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5 and cTrader.
MetaTrader accounts sync with the Synemer Expert Advisor, which pushes closed trades. cTrader accounts connect through a read-only OAuth link, so you authorize the connection and pick the account without sharing a password.
What gets synced
Synemer records the closed trades on the account: symbol, direction, entry and exit, size, price and the profit or loss. From those it builds your performance stats.
The connection is read-only. Synemer cannot place, modify or close orders on your IC Markets account.
Running more than one account
You can connect several IC Markets accounts to the same Synemer login. Each one becomes its own connection with its own analytics, so a live account and a demo account never mix.
This is useful when you scalp on MT5 but keep a swing account on cTrader. Both show up in the same journal, separated by connection.
What you need before you start
- An active Synemer account.
- For MetaTrader: the IC Markets MetaTrader 4 or 5 terminal installed, with the account already added.
- For cTrader: your cTrader ID so you can authorize the read-only connection.
How to connect IC Markets

Choose the platform
In Synemer, open Add connection and pick IC Markets, then choose MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5 or cTrader depending on where the account lives.

Link the account
For MetaTrader, install the Synemer Expert Advisor and paste your EA token. For cTrader, sign in to your cTrader ID and pick the account to link.

Let the history sync
Synemer pulls the closed trades on the account. The first sync brings in the backfill, then it updates as new trades close.

Review your stats
Open the connection's analytics to see win rate, average win and loss, and performance over time.
Frequently asked questions
Does Synemer work with an IC Markets demo account?
Yes. Demo and live accounts connect the same way. A demo account becomes its own connection so it stays separate from your live numbers.
Can Synemer trade on my IC Markets account?
No. The connection is read-only. Synemer reads closed trades only and cannot place or change orders.
Does it work with cTrader as well as MetaTrader?
Yes. IC Markets accounts on MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5 and cTrader can all be connected to Synemer.
How far back does the first sync go?
